Brace height on a 52" Red Wing Hunter?
« on: October 02, 2012, 03:13:00 AM »
Hi All,

Just picked up the old Red Wing Hunter I used to shoot when I was a teenager and remembered just how absolutely dead in the hand it is. Dying to take it out and drive some tacks with it, but it's an old bow and I want to make sure its strung correctly before I put her through the paces.

52" 42# RWH, currently braced at 9.5", which seems high. I've seen 8-8.5" recommended for the longer RWH's (58" and up) and wanted to get your thoughts as I'm planning to get a new string for it.

Thanks!
