Bohning Cool Melt
« on: October 02, 2012, 06:15:00 PM »
Has anybody used the blue Bohning Cool Melt adhesive for broadheads to aluminum adapters? Would like to give it a try on Zwickey Delta's to adapters on a batch of arrows I'm ready to build for hunting this fall. Any input would be appreciated.

I used it for both inserts and BH adapters and they both pull out easier than the regular version.
Nice idea but I saw a difference in bond strength. For example, I have had both the insert or the BH come off while pulling the arrow from a target- never had that happen using the hotter glue.

I agree.  The blue works ok, but I am finding the regular stuff is better.

I use it on carbon arrows with aluminum inserts and have yet to have any trouble out of it   :dunno:

Thanks for the replies. Well I gave it a try. After the fourth shot I was digging a Zwickey Delta with an adapter and insert attached to it out of my Block target. Back to epoxy and Easton Quick Hit Adhesive. Never had a problem with it but thought I'd try something different.
