Africa ?
« on: October 10, 2012, 11:15:00 AM »
I posted this in the Dark Continent forum but haven't received any responses so I decided to put it here as well to see if anyone has any ideas or info. Also, if anyone has been to South Africa and wouldn't mind me bugging them about logistical info, etc., I'd sure appreciate that!

Here is my original post:

Any one have any experience with limcroma safaris in South Africa? Some of my long time friends are considering a 2013 hunt in South Africa . They are very interested in Limcroma. We have one gun hunter so need a place to accommodate gun and bow. There seem to be a lot of positive limcroma archery reviews but I am curious to hear if any traditional folks have any experience with limcroma. Thanks for your comments.

I too have seen a lot of good reviews for limcroma but have not dealt with them myself.

I can tell you this for sure; once you decide to go for sure, you might as well start a savings acct to save up for your second trip over there. Africa is a bowhunters paradise!

Not familiar with that outfitter, but am very familiar with one in Namibia.

Like the rest, don't know about your SA outfitter, but I just returned from Namibia with Makalaan Safaris, can't say enough good things about them. I know they take both Bow and Gun hunters at the same time, but they hunt them on seperate areas. Bow hunting land is only Bowhunted.  I never liked the idea of Bow and Gun hunters hunting the same area.  PM me if you need any other imfo.  RW

Goke,

If you are thinking about a So African bowhunt I have just returned from a hunt with Hunt the Sun out of Kimberley So Africa. It has been a dream of mine for years and I finally saved up enough money to do it.

The trip was Fantastic… Our Outfitter was great.  My wife and I were treated like royalty. Mike catered to all of our wants and needs and then some. My PH and Tracker were great!!!!! The blinds are perfect for Bowhunting and are quite roomy. Plenty of game to choose from. Facilities are Top Notch and the food is wonderful.
If you want more info on details contact me at
