Fred Bear/ Curt Gowdy recording
« on: October 11, 2012, 10:24:00 AM »
Some linked these youtube recordings to side one and two of an old record album.  I have enjoyed listening to Curt interview Fred Bear.  Hopefully this has not been on here recently and I just missed it.

Fred Bear Secrets of Hunting side 1

I am not sure if the pops are just old record noise, or suposed to be a campfire.  I hope you enjoy them.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

I have the Fred Bear DVD collection and loved it.  I can't imagine what it would have been like to sit around a campfire and listen to Fred and Curt visit and talk.  This is a clse as I'll ever get.

Great stuff. Thanks for sharing.

I'm lucky to have met and talked with the late great Fred Bear when I was 14 years old. That was way back in 1964 at an archery function. I talked with him and picked his brain, off and on, for two hours and Fred never tired of me "pestering him". He answered every question I asked of him until I couldn't think of anymore.

He's the person who got me interested in bowhunting and the reason why I'm still bowhunting.
