Many thanks for the kind words guys!
Little bit more background on this bow.....I switched to LH shooting a few years ago and sold ALL of my RH bows to "facilitate" this transition. In my righty days I shot longbows so purposely moved to all recurves and this Stewart longbow is the first non-recurve I've purchased since then.
Leon is such an awesome guy and he was kind enough to give me some information about the bow when I showed it to him.....he remembered building it!
This feather is just stunning:
Don't know the gentleman who this was built for but I'd love to know more of it's story. This is a TD model and you can't tell in the least. Wood is just beautiful.
The area we live in is not only beautiful but we are surrounded by history.
True story: few weeks ago we were coming home from football practice and a guy had pulled over to the side of our road (which isn't very common) so we stopped to see if he needed help. He was digging in the weeds / trees along the road like he was looking for something.
When we asked he said that he was from California and he was looking for a civil war cemetary that was supposed to be on our street (per Google) and he had more people coming in from CA the next day to see it and it was his job to find it.
Just so happened that my neighbor is the one who actually has a very small cemetary in his back yard! Pointed him in the right direction and told him to ask nicely and I was sure he'd show it to him.
Pretty cool!!
