Nice job.......I was surprised the the longbow was faster than the recurve.....longer working limb maybe?
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

With modern day composites and advanced limb design, many of the R/D long bows are faster than recurves..... shorter working limb, narrow width profile, deeper core. less limb mass.

Nice job on the film Mike.

The Cyclone is a great performing longbow. The recurve actually matches the longbow if they were the same weight.Debbie's Tornado is 35#@27" with a 412 grn. carbon. The Cyclone is 37#@27" with a 400 grn. Cedar. She has done excellent with both setups .

Both are realy good performers when loking at them.  i think Kirk nailed the reason why he longbow was just as fast too.

FWIW, she has more curb appeal than most who adverise bows.8>)  God BLess
