I shot instinctive for years, both split and 3 under using as glove. Rod did not get into aiming style in his clinic. But since I was changing my style, anchor point, back tension etc, I decided to change to 3 under using a tab and also to gap/point of aim. I figured if I was going to change I might as well change everything at the same time. Now I shoot 3 under and use the point of my arrow to aim. But again, Rod does not preach the aiming style. He teaches the shooting "process" including the back tension. The best part is I no longer think "release". I just keep pullng until the arrow is gone. Not having to actually "release" the arrow has stopped my pushing the bow at release and stopped the occassional "jerk" on release. This was the most difficult thing to accept, not having a release, just keep pulling until arrow is gone. It was very strange for me. Back tension works with instictive too, I just wanted to try point of aim for my 3D. One more thing, My eye sight is getting very bad. If I can get the cataracks fixed I hope that will help my shooting. The most important thing is not how you aim, wether you use a tab or glove, etc. It is the "process" and the back tension that made the big difference. It helped me be more consistant.
