Wow, i have to say.  For me, this has been one of the best posts i have seen in quite some time.

I am away from my two little boys right now.  I have spent 65 percent of the last two years abroad.  The outdoors and all it has to offer to my children, is very important to me.

I use to get mentally caught up with thinking, if i bring my kids int he woods, i will not be successful.  It didn't take long for me to realize the exact same thing.

Michael, you sound like a very well grounded and excellent father.  I sure hope i get to meet you one day.

Thanks so much for making my day by sharing.  You son has a smile that exudes his happiness of spending time with you.

It is amazing how much we learn about ourselves from our kids. Just watch them and they will show us what we are and what they aspire to become. Yes, we do have an awesome responsibility, but it sure is fun. My kids are grown now, but I have an 8 month old grandson that I hope to help train up as a woodsman.
