Grizzly vs Kodiak heads
« on: October 28, 2012, 08:38:00 PM »
I'm going to try some Grizzly heads this year. I shoot the Beman MFX arrows out of a 52# Schafer. I'm trying to decide between the 140 gr grizzly with a 75 grain brass insert in the arrow, or the 160 grain Kodiak head with a 50 grain brass insert. I'll be hunting mule deer and elk. What would you do?

The Kodiak makes a bigger hole. Both shoot and sharpen well.

Although both will work I would go with the Grizzly. I just prefer the slightly shorter length for my lighter bows.

I would use the Kodiak as I believe they have thicker blades. That said I always go for the most bomb proof arrow I can. Either should work well for you though.
