I am shooting a Martin Savannah 55# and I currently use 28" 2114's with 150 grain tips and they fly perfectly. I wanted a little more weight so I picked up some 2117's and they don't fly well at all. I would love to hunt with the 2114's but based on my calculations my arrow weight would come in around 450 grains. Is that enough to do the job on a whitetail? I know I could add some up front weight to the 2117's but I'm not sure that would solve my flight problems.
Thoughts??
Thanks,
