Quiet Old Buck.

I have been hunting from the ground this season and have had 3 encounters with a very nice mature buck. I missed a shot the first time because my lower limb hit something. The thing that I noticed is how slow and quiet he moves. Its almost like he is a ghost and you have to see him before you can pick up his faint foot steps in the dry leaves. He has not scented me yet and all three encounters were in different locations. After tonights sighting I don't know if I will be able to drop the string if I ever get a chance at him again. I guess I'm just a softy as there is also a solid black squirel in the same area that pesters me alot but I won't shoot him either.
Have any of yall ever had a particular animal that for some reason you always give a pass?

Yes, a cinnamon bear when I was guiding/hunting in Alberta. Don't know what it was, but that bear was not to fall by me. I saw it within shooting range a dozen times. 300 pounds or close to it.
