Hey Caleb, if i can send you some words of encouragement.
Like others have said, hang in there. give it time. At the very least, you are getting in the woods.
Because of my work, i have missed the last three seasons. I have been working away from home. I have not sat in the deer woods in three years in my home state. I would give anything to still hunt during the fall. To see the leaves changing colors, to hear a squirrel as it barks at me. Each fall for the past three years i have been in the middle east. My two little boys at home have not had the chance to wander the woods with me. I have not been able to show then what a rutting bucks signs are. Its been really emotionally tough on someone who has so much of the outdoors in his genetic makeup.
The great thing is that you are able to get out and hunt.
Keep at it. even if you don't kill anything. Being in the woods is an awesome reward in itself.
Good Luck.
