4 Fletch w/ Bitzenburger

I have a lot of 3" Trueflight feathers and am thinking about trying a 4 fletch arrow. I've got left and right clamps and nock recievers (the feathers are right wing) but do I need a certain reciever to do 4 fletch? I think mine might be the TM, but it doesn't say. I also see there are 2 different 4 fletches. Is one prefered over the other?  Thanks!

I don't think it matters , I love four fletch on my bitz

You need a 4 fletch receiver I have no idea which is better-it is purely a matter of personal preference. The one I used worked great I think it was the 4x90.

I have both the left and right recievers and they are both set up for 3@120-4@90 and 4@75x105degrees.

You do not need a special reciever to do 4 fletch. You do need to match reciever to clamp, ie; left with left or right with right. I have shot 4@75X105 and 4@90 and like the 4@90 best. I have been shooting 4 fletch since 1969 so I guess you could say I like it.

I've started using the 4x90 this year with my Bitz. Love the fact that you don't have to look see if the cock feather is up.Just load n shoot!

I still find myself looking at the arrow before nocking it though....

There are index knobs R,T, BLANK.It's good to match the index or recieve which ever you call it, it the clamp.Got my last one from" The Nocking Point" give MIKE a call.Check  bitzenberger.com  I learned something!

If you have rotatable nocks, then it doesn't matter which indexing unit you use, because the only difference is how a fixed nock would be positioned relative to the fletching. If you use a left index with right wing feathers (or a right index with left wing feathers), then all you have to do is rotate a press-in, rotatable nock a few degrees to get everything lined up. Since you have a right clamp and right wing feathers, you are set to go, unless you use fixed, glue-on nocks. I like the 90 degree spacing best for 4 fletch too.

I tried the 4 fletch w/ 90* spacing, and the arrow came out great. Best of all it shot/flew great too! And it is kind of nice to just clip your arrow on the string and shoot, without looking at a cock feather. Thanks everyone!
