new treestand wildlife

It's always fun to see new critters while hunting.  This fall on 3 occasions I've had 2 flying squirrels show off their travel techniques and almost landing on me.  Also, the Pileated Woodpckers have really been active and put on a nice show from my tree stand.

Two years ago I had the pleasure of being in a fisher's core area. It played and goofed off alot more than I would have expected. It did not deter deer movement either. And they stink! I could smell it lingering after it came through. No squirrels or chipmunks around the stand that year.
In NY one weekend a small runt bear was hanging around. Every rustle and noise I heard I thought was a deer, ended up being him half the time. Still a lot of deer came through that area too, even though he was all over that place.
