After reading the responses I had to go outside in extreme heat and do my oun test. I do not have a Shrew curve but do have a 58in Sammuri and a 56in chamelon. I tested the 56in Shrew against my PTF Yew-Coco Black Widow. The Shrew is 48# at 26in and the Widow is 53#@28in. So the Widow should be right at 47# at 26in. Now in all fairness to both, I have been shooting only the Shrew since my accident. I got back shooting about 4 weeks or so ago. Now to the results. Speed is too close to tell by the arc of the arrow on a 40 yard shot. Both bows shooting the same shaft seem to be very close. If there would be an advantage it would be 5fps or so that is hard to tell. Accuracy goes hands down to the Shrew. I thingk Ron L. might be on to something about the grip. I find myself getting comfortable with the Widow (Asbell grip). The widow is 2 years old. Next is the noise level. Hands down to the Shrew, I even have a Mountain Muffler string on the Widow and for a Widow its quite. I personally belive that noise is wasted energy. To the draw, I do not understand how it can bw but after shooting the Shrew for the last month or so the draw feels slightley smoother. After shooting about an hour and sweating like a pig, the winner in my hands is the Shrew. I have a lot of history and respect for the Widow but if I were going hunting tommorow it would be the 56in Shrew. Thats what this is all about for me ,,,The Best HUNTING Bow. Out Door Dan. P.S. I am now on the prowl for a 54 or 52in Shrew. Wife can be included in the trade package. LOL
