snuffer questions
« on: November 17, 2012, 09:03:00 PM »
I've been wanting to try a 3 blade head for some time but was hesitant because of my inability to get woodsmans sharp in the past. I took the plunge and bought some snuffers and in no time flat had them shaving sharp.  Is it just me or are snuffers one of the easiest heads on the market to sharpen?

2nd question...I also shoot light weight bows - 44 at  29.  Is that enough umph to put a 3 blade through deer or should i stick with 2 blade heads?

Welcome to the world of good blood trails! They do sharpen easily and penetration hasn't been a problem on deer with 45-50 pound bows.I shoot 2018's or 2117's with a total weight of around 550gr.Happy hunting.

Not mentioned yet is how they shoot with your set up.You want to shoot one and see how it tunes to your set up.I have shot 2 and 3 blades but for the better part of 30 years have shot 2 blades.
