Folks, I'm humbled to be a part of this crew, and was impressed from the get-go by Sitka's views on their mission, hunting, and their plans and stringent requirements for their Pro Staff. Warrior (p. 3) has the company and those of us on their staff pegged wrong. I don't feel it's an ego thing for any of us; it's certainly not for me. In fact, the vibe I get from Sitka is to leave our egos at the door.
I believe in the product and many bowhunters who have been exposed to their line are impressed as well. My brother manages a Scheels store in Lincoln, NE and says early response among serious hunters has outstripped expectations.
To be quite honest with you, I'm also humbled to be part of TradGang and *********** MOST of the time as well. It's neat to associate with others who share the same interests and can come to a place such as this to hash things out, ask for help, play philosopher, etc. A very small pct. of those here are mean-spirited; the rest seem to be here for the right reasons.
Maybe Pro Staff isn't the most accurate label, I don't know. But 'Pro' is what you read into it. I'm a PBS Regular and some have taken shots at that organization (incl. the 'Professional' in their name). I've always felt it simply meant we members were to act especially professional (proper, ethical) in the field and be good ambassadors for our sport.
