Lone Wolf "Elite" stand: seen it??
«

All:
Summer is passing, and I am on the market for a hang on stand.
My mind is made up, it's going to be "Lone Wolf",
most likely the "Alpha" hang on stand.
BUT, that bigger "Elite" looks good, too.
Anyone seen one, or used it? Somebody (here) said the seat on the Elite makes noise.. any thoughts?
Thanks,
Rich

I bought both to try then sent the Alpha back. They are both great stands but the Elite is more comfortable by having a nicer seat with a back to it and the extra foot room to be able to step forward or sideways a bit for those awkward shots or just to stretch. If you sometimes go in before dawn until after dusk as I do; it matters! It is 8lbs heavier though than the Alpha but unless you are hiking an incredibly long distance with it, I don't see that as a problem.

No noise. My friend Ray Hammond used it to film my friend Tippit shoot his bear in Quebec so he might weigh in on this. The stand wiggled a bit getting into it but only because I had left behind the brace as I had intended to use the "easy-hang" hook. The Alpha has the same set-up.

Thanks, Curveman, I figured a Chelmsford guy would
have the answers! (small world, I grew up in Billerica)
Thanks again,
Rich

I bought the "Alpha" and i like it a lot...i use the hang on hook too. But after i get up there i put a ratchet strap used for motor cycle tie downs to cinch it tight to the tree....WORKS EXCELLENT TOO!!!! No movement or wiggle in at all then......Good hunting! Kirk

this is a tough one. I like the sleek and mobile looks of the Alpha, but that Elite looks like a guy could take a nap in it, and like Curveman, I plan on logging the hours in it, this fall.
Decisions, decisions!

I plan on buying the LW climbing stand as well although I already have a Summit. I'll put my Elite in a prime area and go wandering with my climber. I have three other cheap hang-ons that work quite nicely as well. You can also buy a number of "Ezy hang" hooks for the Elite too so you can hang the hooks in any of a number of trees and move around that way also when the wind changes as well.
