I noticed recently that my arrows weren't sticking into the target straight but more nock left(fletched arrows with broadheads and field points). They hit where I'm looking but they just dont hit square. I was pretty sure it was just me but today it just got to me so I tried something tonight. I took a 125 grain magnus stinger and a 165 grain zephyr sasquatch out and shot them.
To my surprise they hit right where I looking and in the target perfectly straight. I couldn't see the arrow flight all that well because I was shooting under floodlights at close range but I thought an arrow that was nock left was stiff so i would actually need a heavier point, not a lighter one? I've shot through deer with this setup but I want the best flight I can get. (self taught on all this so be easy on me haha)
My setup is a 62 inch Zipper SXT longbow 55@28 but I draw 30 so I figure it around 60-61#. Full length (32 inches) Traditional Only shaft with a 250 grain head normally. This setup is at 580 grains but I'm afraid if I get better flight with the 165 and 125 grain heads my arrow will be WAAAY to light to hunt comfortably.
