A great hunt - how about telling us your favorite way to prepare it for the table???

jerky is a good way to have it. marinate it in whatever you like then i pat it with some cracked black pepper i like coursely cracked so you get chunks of pepper. then i smoke it for a couple of hours then dry in my wood stove with the oven door slightly open.
i call them pepper logs. i can't stop eating it!
then there's curries and stews as well as steak and grind it with pork for mince or make it into sausages with pork. fennel and black pepper and my favourite.....smoked paprika. wiping drool off the keyboard now.........

precurve- the bow is a bob lee take down 58" 69#@28". arrows are GT 75/95. 930gr. i use 2 blade heads
Thick fog slowly lifts

Clint,

Way to get your goat!

my lips were burning just reading those spicy recipes.

Pretty country...no telling what you'll find under that molasses barrel next time!

Keep knocking those goats down Clint. You need to get a few extra for me since I was unable to touch any of them with my arrows! I bet that big 'ol billy that was in the mob when I missed is still rolling around laughing!  :knothead:    :knothead:

Good shooting!  Is "mob" the king's english term for a herd of goats or is that strictly aussie speak?

Nothin much better than barbqued goat. Where I grew up in West Texas, a lot of the ranches I hunted on raised angora goats so they always told us if we saw any spanish goats to kill em as they did not want them crossing with their angoras, we happly obliged. My mouth is watering, LOL, wish I had some now.
