Thanks everyone

What's the difference between 35x# and 36#? I was told the 35x# means it's a 36#, if that's the case why not just call it 36#?

yup, depending on the maker the 'x' after the number can indicate one additional pound of pull, i believe they did the 'x' cause it's "one pound-ISH"/approximate.  It works same in reverse...I think..thought I'd seen some bows marked say "xx35" etc meaning they're like 33ish pounds.

Welcome and enjoy the trad journey.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.

that is a good bow to start with and welcome. You will sooner than you think be weighing the choices of, do I want a long recurve like the Rover or a longbow or a hybrid or a shorter recurve or one of each or if you get through the entire Hill thread one of each longbow. and then there are the arrows. Is 100 too few is 200 too many? Check out as many shooting styles and instructions as you can,(with time and practice and trying different things, you will know what works best for you), before you decide on which new bows and arrows to buy.
