Thinking About a New Bow Quiver for 3-D and Stump Shooting
« on: December 29, 2012, 06:49:00 PM »
Several days ago I posted photos of several of our new bow quivers for the coming year. Today I dedicated to making the lightest weight 4 arrow quiver for 3-D and stumping. The weight of the quiver to be shown is just a smidgen over 4 ounces. It's mounted on a new light weight Striker bow and does not interfere in any way with the performance of it. I apologize for the photo quality. It was a blistery day outside so I took them inside the shop. I hope that you enjoy, and feel free to comment and question.

Don I like the idea. What will you have for color and exotic skin options?

Marc, We will have this quiver in black and dark brown as our standard colors. We'll also do some custom work using snakeskin, shark, stingray, beavertail, etc. I have a python skin that I'd like to see on it soon.

I think beavertail will look good on it.

When will we be able to see a price? And will there be a wood arrow version? I like it. Mike

The totem and wing options are available with these. The price of the 4 arrow Target Mesa will be $60.00 for the basic quiver. For exotic skins the price will be slightly more, and the totem or wing features add $10.00 each.

"The new quiver really is a great idea. I'm becoming a believer in shooting with a quiver on all of the time especially with a light bow." This is a recent quote from one of our Tradgangers. I am a believer also that shooting with a lightweight quiver is a definite positive, especially on a light bow.

Marc, the price for a Target Mesa hood only would be $40.00. Shipping for Tradgang members is free. That's a good idea to use it with the arrow gripper that you already have.

I did some experimenting yesterday to make an even lighter 4 arrow quiver which I'll test again today. Haven't weighed it yet but I'm sure it's under 4 ounces. I have it on a new lightweight Striker longbow and with the quiver and 4 arrows still feels very light, and shoots great. Have a Happy New Year!

See, the target mesa won't take broadheads but you can put target points in either of the hunting quivers mini mesa or the midget mesa. The target mesa is very lightweight and has one divided section for the target points.

The latest version of the target mesa weighed exactly 4.0 oz.

Thanks Don.you're right on top of things.looks like a great one to use for 3d shoots.a quiver on my Arroyo helps to balance it out better for me since its such a light weight bow.

See, one of the guys got a target mesa tonight to use for 4 arrow 3-D shooting and to carry two broadheads for hunting. It might work for two smaller broadheads no larger then 2" by 1 1/8", but there is no seperation between them.

Normally I would recommend using a midget or mini mesa for dual purpose as a hunting/3-D quiver.
