Lamey:

While it's a high r/d bow it's still very quiet; no string noise on the limbs.  My Dad's "treestick", for example, did require a little moleskin near the tips as it's a similarly high r/d bow.

I just ordered a 68" Classic string follow Liberty. Sweet shooting bow.  Maybe Allen has some more of that bocote in his stock. Might look nice with black glass limbs.

Bob:

I have more of the bocote, if you'd like I can bring a selection to the TAO banquet saturday and you can check it out.

That would be great Allen!  I think I've got my wood choices down to 2.  Black glass for sure.  See you Saturday.

58,
I think that black glass on your bow is the right choice, it should have a cool vintage look.  I have a 70" HH "Big Five" with brown glass.  The simplicity really seems of a by-gone era, whether or not things were ever simple...  I had a great looking contender with black glass and a coco riser.  I traded it about a year ago, then saw it was listed on the classifieds in December, out in Delaware. It's cool how these bows get around; all the hunts they've been on. Keep us updated about your bow, and let us see some photographs once you get it.
