3-D Targets at Home

I gotta bunch: Delta fox, coon, bear and deer.  Rinehart deer, turkey, steggi, coyote, boar, javi, beaver, coon, wolverine, 18-1 and few more that I can't think of right off.  Most of them I take out only for a few days at a time because I don't live in an area where I would leave them out all of the time.   The Rineharts are the best for repeated shooting, hold up the best and easiest arrow pull.  Plan on selling all of my Delta's this spring and replacing them with Rineharts.

I have one. Just bought it today to help prep for bear quest. I think it is a Delta. I drove an hour and a half to bass pro shop and bought the only bear target they had. It was their display and they didn't have the box, lol.

1 wolf, 2 coy dogs, 1 turkey, 1 bear, 1 bobcat, 5 deer, old platform from kids swing set for a little elevation, or a ladder stand. various manufactors, got most from clubs getting rid of old targets, try to change locations of targets every month, have had shoots with friends and neighbors,along with game dinner its alot of fun.

2 MacKenzie bears, 1 elk, 1 mule deer, 1 mountain goat, 1 javelina, 1 Delta deer.
I don't have neighbors so no problems shooting when and where I want.

My range is about 100yd up behind my house along the woods. I can shoot 75yd from either side of my targets. I've got very little $ invested in my targets.

A strutting McKenzie turkey. I got it for free from the local club after the scoring rings bacame hard to distinguish.

A McKenzie boar. I got it for free from a buddy at work. He broke off the front leg by accident and just gave it to me. I've got it all proped up and secured.

I also have  a foam blob for broadheads and a bag target.

Back in the woods I made a feed sack course along a path. I have 8 stuffed plastic feed sacks tied to saplings that I can shoot at from both directions. Didn't cost me a thing. Of course, the rotten stumps, chipmunks, groundhogs, and deer living in the woodlot are pretty nice targets too.

Next to the house is a 1000yd long hay field where I can take flight shots or shoot round hay bales.

I'm pretty lucky.

I've got two old targets a deer and a turkey.... the turkey lost it's head years ago but the deer is still holding up.

here is my shooting lane at the 70 yard line... the target is waaaaaay back there if you look close.

Mostly i use a big foam block for broadheads
2'X 2'X 4' high. they are marine floats for docks.

2 turkeys, 2 deer, a cougar, a boar, and an old vital insert to practice for small game.  I'm lucky that I can shoot in my yard.

no 3-d's yet I just shoot an old bag target in the front yard, the lake is in the back and i would loose too many arrows, also considering the Glen Dell deer

2 delta bucks, 1 delta antelope, 1 Mckenzie mule deer, 1 Mck. bear, 1 Mck. javie, 1 Rinehart standing turkey. All the Mckenzies  I picked up used the javie was given to me and the others I bought new. Fortunately I live in the country on about 12 acres so I have plenty of room to set them up!

I cut some paths at camp for a mini 3-D course. So far a deer and two home made foam filled turkey targets. I'll start looking for some deals on used ones, great idea.

I have 3 in my backyard. I have a Delta boar I can shoot from my front yard along the side of my house up to 35 yards. I have a McKenzie buck I can stretch a 25 yard shot at diagonally across my back yard. I also have a Rhinehart buck that I can shoot at about 15 yards max. I put 4'x4' backstops with plywood and rubber mats behind each of them and have them set where I am never shooting directly toward any of my neighbor's yards. I also made sure they were fine with it before I set each target.

I have about 20. Most I have bought from clubs when they buy new targets and auction their old ones. I repair them and use them in the yard.
Some of the targets I bought new from Big Jim and a couple from Bass Pro. A couple I have made from the remains of targets too shot up to repair.  I use my knife and shape remaining parts into ground hogs, owls and other small critters. I can shoot out to about 60 yds on a couple of the tarfets but usually shoot at around 20-30 yds.

I have 30 targets That are set up all summer long and then come in out of the woods in late Aug. early Sept. some of those targets are 15 to 2o years old as I inherited them from a bow club here in town. The targets are still going strong. Need to repair occasionally but doing well. A mix of Mackenzie and Rinehart with a couple R&D's and Delta's thrown in.
