Bear Guide introduction and a neat video
« on: January 18, 2013, 06:10:00 PM »
Hello! I am a new sponsor to Tradgang and wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and tell you just a bit about my guide service.  My son and I run Russell Outdoor Guides. We are traditional archery fanatics and I have been shooting a tradbow for just under 40 years. Our guide service offers big game hunts for black bear in Canada, hogs, deer, alligator and other hunts for turkey, predators and waterfowl in Georgia. We also have some awesome bowfishing action.  We are a full time guide service and while we presently cater to all weapons our passion is providing hunts for traditional archers.  Our hope is to move to traditional archery only very soon.
Our Canada bear hunts take place in Quebec but this is far from the normal Quebec bear hunts that you may have read about. We have exclusive bear hunting rights to a 1,500 square mile reserve and there are only 32 tags issued here per year. This mean old age class monster bears. This territory is HUGE and is bordered by two provincial parks that are closed to hunting.  What sets these bear hunts apart from many outfitters is our all-inclusive based fees.  You pay one fee and once you get to camp we take care of everything. This includes lodging, food, multiple active baits per hunter, all in-camp transportation and your license and tags.  All you have to do is get here and we will get you close to your bear. We know exactly what it takes to get a tradbow hunter close to a big bear and our guides will work very hard for you. I have attached a sample video of what can be expected on one of our bear hunts.
Our Georgia hunts take place in Middle and North Georgia for most species with the alligator hunts conducted in the Southern part of the state.  Few things in life are more exciting than chasing hogs and gators in Georgia with a trad bow!  Many of our Georgia adventures can be made into combo hunts and this can be a great value as well. All of our hunts are fair chase.
Please take a moment to look at our website at:  www.russelloutdoorguides.com  and please let me know if you have any questions.  Our Youtube channel has the same name as our website and many of our hunts can be found there. Note: Tradgang members will always receive a discount to every hunt we offer so please mention your membership.
I am a guide but I am also just a dedicated traditional archer so you will see me on here just enjoying the adventures that tradgang provides. Thanks for taking the time to read this and for allowing us to be a part of this great family. We hope to hunt with some of you in the future. You may come as a client but I promise you will leave with new friends.

Jerry Russell

Oh yeah, the video.
This was my son's first stick bow bear. Best watched in HD. Enjoy

Welcome aboard Jerry!

Never question a man's choice in bows or the quality of an animal he kills.  He is the only one who has to be satisfied with either of those choices.
