I bought a sammick sage as a cheap option to explore trad archery. My draw length is 30" and the bow is about 45# at my drawlength. My problem is finding arrows. It was suggested that I shoot 2018 if I go aluminum. Based on the 3rivers website info and my local archery shot, these easton arrows start at less than 31" which would be my minimum length based on drawlength. My local shop says they can get me cedar arrows at 32" which would probably work. I just want to get some options I can bare shaft tune myself, so carbon are largely out. I would consider them, but I also hear that they may be too stiff for my lowish draw weight.
Basically, I am open to wood, aluminum and maybe carbon. Does anyone have any other suggestions for aluminum that would satisfy my length requirements?
