Howard Hill archery has some awesome shafts.  I don't know who his supplier is but he gets the good stuff.

The quality of doug fir is better than POC these days. That said I'm sure you can get good POC from any of the sponsors that carry POC.

POC today is typically not as good as it has been in the past.  I get mine from No Frontiers Archery and they are good quality.

Have been very happy with the tapered poc's from Kustom King the last few years.  There's just something about opening the package and that wonderful smell of cedar hitting ya.

Been very impressed with both tapered and parallel shafting from Wapiti Archery purchased over the last year.  Nice folks to do business with as well.

does it hafta be poc?  imo, the overall poc quality these dayze just doesn't match that of the old 50's and 60's acme poc shafts.  you might be better off with doug fir or sitka spruce.

2X what Rob said. I think the fact is most haven't made arrows from the "good old" POC from the old days and just don't know the difference between it the stuff out today.
