You need more than you think for turkeys. Their feathers slow down an arrow considerably. Too, a turkey is a light bird, when it's hit, it's entire body moves, absorbing the force of the arrow and reducing penetration. I've killed a couple of turkeys with 2-blade Eskimos and Magnus 2s. Didn't get a complete pass through with ether, nor with other heads I've used. (50-55# glass laminated hybrids and recurves). I wouldn't be worried about shooting through them. Most times you won't. And better if you do. Better blood trail. Feathers soak up a lot of blood as well.
