Question for HHA Cheetah owners
« on: January 28, 2013, 08:33:00 PM »
I've been thinking of ordering a HH bow soI used the search button and have been looking at the various Cheetah bow pics that have been posted here. However, one thing that didn't seem to get mentioned when posting those pics is the type of riser wood. Most of those pics have a dark riser wood that really looks good with the rocky mountain juniper lams. Long story short, I'd appreciate it if you would let me know what wood was used on the riser of your Cheetah? And if you have a close-up pic, even better.

Thanks.

My Cheetah has a cocobolo riser.  Looks great with the juniper for sure.

You can go to the HH web site and look at the standard riser wood offered in the Cheetah configuration.  The buyer can substitute, of course.

I've got one with an ebony riser and wine colore wrap. Looks very striking.

I bought one for my dad.  I ordered his with Bocate.  It looks great.  I think though the Cheeta would look good with any riser.  It is their best looking bow IMO.

I have this same configuration on order; should see it in a couple of weeks. Should be a looker as well as a shooter.

mine has texas ebony,  but any wood that accents the darker eyes in the juniper looks great, I think a snake wood riser on that bow would be amazing

I bought mine second hand. It must be cocobolo, looks just like Typical 2's pic.

My Cheetah has an extra lam of bamboo in the limb and a cocobolo riser. Hand-polished finish makes it hard to see the riser well, but it's beautiful IMHO. It's the one on the left.
