Just got my Simmons Tiger Sharks
« on: February 08, 2013, 11:51:00 AM »
They came in the mail from Big Jim, and, man, do they look effective. There have been many posts here about the Simmons heads, usually about the Tree Sharks, but have many of you used the Tiger Shark heads? This si going to be a great season!

Jeff
Take care,
Jeff

Great broadhead, unless you are a hog or a deer. They don't like them so much!

Great broadheads!  Took 3 deer with a Tiger Shark & 1 with an Interceptor.  David Oligee's a stand up guy  the Tiger Sharks I used were a special batch of 140gr screw in that he was doing a T/E on.

Chenryiv, what arrow did you put those 140gr Tigersharks on? Do you know what the total weight was?
Take care,
Jeff

Been using them since I lived in Alabama when Jerry created the line. These are the "studs" of the broadhead world. Get a Jewel Stik and a Razor Edge sharpener--great investment. Nice sharpening tutorial on You Tube.

I use the 165 glue on safari head. Their web calls it their most popular glue on so I tried it and can truly say they fly exceptionally well. This past summer on bear quest 6 I  had one cut clear through a bear and stuck in the ground. With a 48 lb RER Arroyo bow. Once you see their effect and their accuracy you will agree too.

I had the tiger sharks on a Beman Classic 500s cut to 27" with the 75gr insert, 4 fletch. They weigh in the area of 525 gr & a GT traditional 3555 cut to 28" w/100 gr insert, weighing in the area of 550gr.  Both were shot out of a 51# hoots recurve and a 50# BJ  Thunderchild.

I've used the land and interceptor and killed 9 deer and 7 pigs the last two years with them. Also, a coyote killed with the land shark. Good broadhead.

Love the Tiger Shark!  Normally, I shoot Interceptors but I hunted with Tigers and a 56 inch, 54 lbs. Hoots recurve.  Shot two deer and left the best blood trail that I have ever seen.
