They didn't start putting coins in until 1959 so that might be a tough one. Member Kurt Belle makes a replacement coin for other years though.

ok, thanks fellas. here are a few picture of mine. maybe you guy can tell me what year it is. the inside limbs are a brown color and the out side limbs are a lime green color.thanks

Denny, that would be a '59 Grizzly. My all original '59 Grizzly has the nickel coin.

Yes, a '59. Inspect those paper tips very carefully before you start shooting it. They sometimes look ok on the surface but if the finish has started to deteriorate and moisture has gotten in, they can quickly come apart.
In my opinion, the best, quietest shooting bow ever.

I have a couple 59 Grizzlies now and have owned a couple of others and they all had a nickel medallion. The 59 Kodiaks and Kodiak Specials had the copper coins.
