I've got some Snuffer 160's on the way along with some screw-in adapters.
This is something I've never done before and am looking for any and all do's and don'ts.
Thanks
Ken

Clean adapter and head with acetone and glue with epoxy. I sometimes use hot melt but epoxy is best the 2 ton slow dry is even better. I also glue in the screw in adapters with a dab of hot melt to keep them from loosening and rattling.

criticize me if you want, I had crap luck getting adapters to stay in my zwickey so I put them in a vise, placed a board over the threaded area and hammered them in to place. they flew true so I called it good

There's definitely difference between adapters some are crap and some are great it's just like arrows you have to cull the bad from the good. I like PDP adapters.

After you mount them make sure they spin true. I use an adhesive that allows me to adjust if I need to. Mounting a broadhead on an adapter is pretty much just like mounting one on a wood arrow. If they spin true you'll have good flight; if theres a wobble not so good flight.

If they are aluminum screw them in before glueing and make sure they are straight.
If steel probably ok.

Yaa, use hot melt so you can adjust head till it spins true.
I Prefer steel steel for strength. But they will be heavier.
A long taper on the adaprter is best.I have seen some short ones before

Lightly sand the ridges on the adapter, then clean them with 91% alcohol. I then use a bronze rifle bore brush inside the broadhead to remove any surface rust. I finish up with the alcohol again. Before glueing I lightly torch the inside of the broadhead and the adapter to remove any excess alcohol. I finish up the glueing with a Dixon broadhead aligner. I've had no heads come loose or wobble.

As others have said MAKE SURE both your adaptor and broadhead are clean. I prefer using Easton's hot melt glue as it has a relatively low melting point and it allows me to get my broadheads spinning true.

Cleaning taper and ferrule are essential as mentioned above.
Whichever glue you use make sure the glue is spread evenly around the taper by rotating the head a couple of full turns.
When using hot melt make sure that the ferrule is good and hot... the excess glue should squeeze out easily and very liquid.

Thanks guys....Think I'm going to do my first with hotmelt.  If all goes well, I will epoxy the rest.

Do what Charley says and don't use too much glue/hot melt.  It can keep you from fully seating the point and/or seating it squarely.

Agree with Steelhead, hot melt allows for adjustability. I like to dry fit and make sure every thing spins true.

Charlies so right.Screw the adapters into your arrow first ,so you can spin to make sure its true.Easy to ajust if there not.You should have no problem.
