Which Bow Do I Shoot First?

Take a coin,and 2 of the bows.....1 bow is heads,1 bow is tails.

Flip the coin.....then put it back in your pocket and shoot the 3rd bow

I pretty much had already reached that conclusion.  It is a sweet looking bow and everything I've read about Doug's one piece longbows is they are smooth, fast and sweet shooting bows.  My comment about 2 bows or 3 bows was actually directed to Shawn's recommendation to narrow it down to two bows.

Got a similar problem. Hunting season opens tomorow and I have no Idea on what bow will see the first light of day.
 Short, long, LB ,RC, fast , slow . They all shoot just fine, so it will ba a choice I make on the way out the door. problem is I want to hunt with them all.

My decision only relates to shooting at the shop tomorrow.  I'll be carrying two bows with me to the shop each Saturday between now and the end of October.  By then I'll determine which one goes into the woods with me first in IL.

I'll be taking the MultiCam recurve plus one of the longbows to the shop each week.  I'll probably take all 3 bows to IL with me.  I don't see a risk and it will definitely be one of these 3 bows that I take into the woods with me the first time in IL.

My plan/hope is to take a buck and two does.  I'll take the first deer with the first bow.  Once it is blooded I'll switch to the second bow. After I take a deer with it and it is blooded, I'll switch to the third bow.  If all goes well, I'll blood all three bows in IL in late October/early November.

I'm just razzin you Bill.  I got the same thing going on.  I'm taking my first trip to IL the first week of Nov.  I'm planning to take 3 bows with me if I can decide which ones.  More importantly, I can't decide which will be my #1 bow for this season.

I think I know what the answer will be for me.  The MultiCam recurve will very likely be #1.  The Turkey Creek longbow #2.  And then I'm going to have to do some very hard thinking as to whether I'm going to carry the Crow Creek Black Feather longbow into the woods, or not.  It may end up being my 3-D bow!  It's too pretty to pull up into a treestand and drop back down to the ground, even if I'm dropping it at the end of a rope!!

I know what you mean about "too pretty". The Blacktail recurve I have not hunted with yet is in that category. But it is screaming to get out in the woods! I think after the first scratch I will get over it. But until then I will be babying it.

Well, I picked up the bows today and I must say I shot 3 outstanding bows.  The pic I posted of the Cook's Mountain MultiCam recurve doesn't do it justice.  The artisanship that went into building it is top shelf.

The bow is a phenomenal shooter, too.  It is very smooth on the draw, is dead in the hand on the release, shoots very fast and shoots very accurately.  For the money, this bow is a bargain!!

The Turkey Creek was everything I was told it would be, very smooth, very quiet and very fast.  It is a great shooting bow.

The Crow Creek Black Feather was exactly what I was expecting.  It is a drop dead gorgeous bow and is a great shooter to boot.  I will not lack for a great bow to carry to the woods this fall!

They straighten out beautifully at full draw!  And then they sort of come unhinged, so to speak, upon release.  But it sure is a smooth, quiet, very quick and accurate shooting bow.

Of all the problems a person could have, I would say you are doing alright.  Grab one from the pile and start shootin'.
