The working man’s harvests picture thread
« on: February 23, 2013, 10:58:00 AM »
For most of my life I have always ended up with a job that requires me to put in a lot of hours. Most years I get maybe one 3 day weekend to hunt and many times my days off are split apart. This year I had my first hunt in years where I could hunt as many days as I needed and of course I tagged out opening day. I am sure I am not the only one out there that has to juggle their hunting around work, family, and all the other social obligations life brings us. I would like to see some harvest pictures of game you have taken during a limited time hunt. Let’s see the after or before work buck, the 2 hour sit on wallow elk or the squirrel form behind the house.

I thought about all my successful hunts and this one fits your description the best.  A two hour hunt after a snow storm on the next to last day of the season.  She's extra special to me because I was only able to hunt 7 total days that season because of work and family obligations.

The year was 2001.
On the way home from work I happened to find a flock of rare pink flamingos feeding in a neighbors yard. Got my bow and some suburban camo. 15 min sneek and BAM !

Got off early enough one evening to get in the blind for this little fella.

Seems like I got out and stalked this little pig on my way home from class one evening.

Hunts between work can sometimes be tough.

Bill that is a rare trophy! I have heared they have a one that stays in the Great Salt lake but I don't think they have any tags for him yet. I think they even named him "floyd"  :biglaugh:
