Hill country bow question

I'm looking to place an order for either a Bobcat or Wildcat. Anyone out there shot both and care to share their experience?

I have owned both and currently own a Bobcat. I had a 64" Wildcat and now a 56" Bobcat. I loved the Wildcat. I was a bit worried about the short length of the Bobcat but it shoots great!
Both are solid stable shooting platforms. I still miss the Wildcat but hunting with the Bobcat is awesome.
If you like short bows then the Bobcat. Long bows then the Wildcat. It's that simple. Both are fast. Both stable.
Honestly a 62" Wildcat would be VERY hard to beat. I do not regret the length of the Bobcat to hunt but I do still miss a longer bow from time to time.
Performance seems similar to me on both. So I likely didn't help you much. LOL

I have the Wildcat and it is an awesome bow and what a shooter. It is current,y my #1 hunting/shooting bow. It is a 62". I have shot the Bobcat at Romans place and absolutely loved it. I am thinking that it is the same bow with the shorter riser but both shoot incredible. I am actually considering ordering the Bobcat as well. You can't go wrong with either one. Incredible workmanship and performance.

I like them both, but like the Wildcat better. The bobcat site window was way too short for me, but i have changed to 3 under so will have to shoot one again to see. My 29"+ draw length seemed a bit much for the bobcat. I would like to see a 58" bobcat.

Both bows use the same limb form, so the risers is where the difference lies. The Wildcat has a 15" riser and is more straight, whereas the Bobcat riser is 13" and has more curved.
The choice for you is going to come down to your preference for either a longer bow or a shorter one. As Colin said above, they perform very similar.
Give me a call, and we can hopefully answer all your questions. 330-730-6478

I have not tried the Wildcat, but own a 56" 53@28" Bobcat. I have tried the Shrews & many other forward risered longbows. This bow shoots better for me and has excellent performance. A++!!

Not to be picky Jim, but that's a Bobcat.
Roman is finishing my Bobcat recurve, early next week, and will have it at the Cleveland Bowhunting Supershow.
Here is an example of a Wildcat

I've had both a 62" Wildcat and now a 56" Bobcat. While I enjoyed and hunted with my Wildcat in 2011, I recently received the 56" Bobcat and it's a pure pleasure to shoot. I finalized what I wanted with Roman at Denton Hill and he got the grip and wood combinations perfect. Craftsmanship is not just very good, it's outstanding. What a really neat little bow that will work great for blinds and really any hunting situation. No stack or finger pinch at all at my 27-1/2" draw. A couple of my trad buddies were drooling over this bow just the other night.

Todd, your 29" plus seems to be no problem with the Bobcat. Pamike just got his Bobcat and he has a true 30" draw. The bow was tillered at 45# @30. Roman did advise not to try that with heavy poundage bows.
He is developing 60" limbs for the Bobcat but won't do 58" because the Wildcat is available at that length.
