Hip quiver for hunting?

Anyone use a hip quiver for hunting?  If so, what make and model. Also, what vintage hip quivers should I look for if I want to track one down?

For me it all depends on the terrain and type of hunt.  A hip quiver that rides comfortably and does not get in the way is often preferable when walking or slow movement.  If you have to bushwack, they can become increasing iritiating and you beat the snot our of your fletching.  For me, I like having one that can be easily taken off your belt without taking your belt off.  I have a small loop section of string on the top and bottom so I can hang it from a tree or branch as needed either up or down.  The one I have, I have a strap that allows me to attach it easily to my day pack.  I think it is a flexible option that allows you to adapt easily to change and necessity.  I will have to get back to you on the model.  I am in Kabul on deployment and my quiver is at home!

I have a tarantula quiver. It has a connection for belt loop and bungy to wrap around your leg to hold it tight. Most times I just hook it to my belt on my backside. Works real good, not vintage by any means though.

I took a heavy piece of leather, made a belt loop and attached a quickee quiver bracket to it.
Get to my tree, un-hook the quiver and hang it on a limb.  It also feels good when walking thru the woods.

I use my Tarantula quiver just like dhermon85 does.  Most times I also just hook it to my belt on my backside.  They are great for attaching to a backpack also (elk hunt backpacking).

They are a five arrow quiver and are very compact.  I liked mine so much that after using it for a couple of hunts, bought another to keep in reserve.

I do not know how to post pictures or I would.  Mine looks just like the one on the website and those pictures are pretty good.  The Absorkee is a very well made piece of equipment.  Though I don't think any one quiver is perfect for all situations, this one is darn close.  I think it is about the best you can do.

I have a Chuck Adams I'll sell ya......I think my legs are too short for it to be comfortable.  Darn nice quiver though.  Took me awhile to find one.

The Absorkee Quiver comes in 2 models, one with a knife option.  The orginal Absorkee Quiver is a 5 arrow model and has the knife option, the Emigrant, is a 6 arrow quiver, same as the orginal, but with a dedicated hood for a judo point or rubber blunt.
