Unfortunately there weren't many if any traditional booths there, maybe with enough peer pressure we can talk some of our fine sponsors into getting a booth for next year!!! *Brian Wessel and Jason Kendall get my vote (being from Iowa)    :clapper:

I'm with you Iowabowhunter, for such a big event it needs some trad booths or even a special spot on the  big buck contest wall. Meeting Fred was worth the price of the ticket. Hey Iowabowhunter were you the guy I talked to about the Tall Tines shirt I was wearing? It was nice to run into a fellow trad shooter in a sea of compounds!

I went to the IA Deer Classic this morning.  I too met Fred and had him sign his book.  I was able to talk to him for about 10 minutes about traditional archery, how he sets up his bow/arrow, and why he feels the recurve is a superior hunting weapon to the compound.  Great guy!

Fed has a book?

G'day Shaun, how are my two Yankee mates John & Jacob doing with Mule Creek? I sent them both an email but I figured they'd be busy this time of year... Either that or snowed in!

Iowa... Miss my time there.

Cheers,

ak.

It's titled 'bow hunting western big game'.  I haven't started reading it yet, but if its written by Fred....it's gotta be good!
