Bear Kodak magnum?

I recently got a bear Kodaik magnum in a trade it has Canada 1953 on the limb is that the year it was made ? It also has a serial no. Can anyone help me with finding out how old it is

No, 1953 is the year of Bears patened. Post the serial number collectors forum. Shawn
