Chastain Wapiti TD RC
« on: March 18, 2013, 04:18:00 PM »
Found one of these for sale but I know nothing about them. Can anyone give me any info on this bow. It is the Imperial model 60" 55 @28. Just wondering what it might be worth. Looks like it was well taken care of.

Thanks

I'm not too familiar with his recurves but I can tell you that my longbow made by him is smooth, quiet and very well crafted. He has been building bows for over 50 years and there is a reason why he is still in business. Have you visited his web site? worldclassbows.com

All his bows are serious shooters, used bows of his usually sell in the $600 range here in Denver, if it's less than that by much you could buy it and if you don't like it, but you will, you can pack it up and send it to Rocky Mountain Specialty Gear, a sponsor on here to put on consignment and maybe make a profit on it.

Various bows, but if you see me shooting, it's probably a Toelke in my hand!

Smooth drawing bows the only knock I have heard is that on some of the bows the finish is a little rough. This is only a cosmetic issue and isn't the case with each bow. The one I had easily accommodated long draw lengths. If you want a fine hunting tool it is a great bow.
