Predator LoBo comparison with Caribow Slynx
« on: March 23, 2013, 06:52:00 AM »
Gday.

I dont have access to a cari-bow in australia. I have been able to shoot a LoBo, which is really the only aggressive R/d longbow available here in-store.

So, how does the cari-bow slynx compare with the Lobo?

any help appreciated

thanks

How does the lobo shoot? It seems like nobody ever had a lobo yet. There's no information at all on the web about how they perform.

As all Hunter Niche product the lobo should be a good hunting bow.
The SLynx will give you more options to customize the bow at least with the TD option.
They should perform almost the same, within 3-4fps, most probably the SLynx being a tad faster.

Nativestranger,

the Lobo i shot was 40#. the riser was "heavy" as are the predator futurewood risers, and the limbs felt light, thin and "bendy" like recurve limbs when strung, nothing like the mild r/d limbs im used to (Barta Bow, Stotler)  also this bot is 30# lighter than im used to.

super smooth on the draw, no stacking, fairly high early draw given that it was only 40#.

it shot really really well. I picked it up and started nailing bottletops at 15 yards with 500gr arrows overspined by 15#. it had no silencers on the string or limbs and had a bit of a twang, which im sure would be easy to tune out.

overall, I liked the Lobo. ive ordered a slynx, im sure im going to love it

Thanks Fanto. I like your description of the Lobo. It sounds like a great bow at a good price. Good luck with your Slynx. Like what Hybrid said they should perform close. Very similar design between the two.
