Strinjg length and brace height
« on: March 28, 2013, 06:25:00 AM »
Hey all. Anyone tell me what the string length and brace height is? Snagged me a '54 Ben Pearson model 304 for a decent price. It's a 64" 50# @ 28. I do not have a string and am not set up to make my own Dacron(yet), so will be ordering a couple from 3R most likely. Don't know if the AMO standards were applied to manufacturing back in '54 so should I go ahead and order a 60" to start with or what. Normally I'll go an inch longer so I have some room to experiment with the brace height for tuning purposes, but just don't know where to start with string length and brace height. Thanks.

If you are ordering from 3R, I would think that by giving them the bow length they you make the string the right length.
