Newwood Longbow has arrived
« on: March 30, 2013, 02:58:00 PM »
Just got the Newwood Legacy longbow that I ordered from Chris Hartwig at the Kalamazoo expo. 2 Days early I might add. The bow is 46# @ 27" 66" amo and is a shooters dream. It is smooth, fast, silent and completely dead in the hand. The riser is Cocobolo/bacote with a customized palm swell grip. The limbs are cocobolo with coco/bacote riser over lays on both back and belly sides, bacote string grooves and cocobolo limb tips. Chris explains that there are different shades of cocobolo, he used a "red" coco for the tip overlays so they look slightly different fron the limb vaneers. I am stunned at how fast this is for a 46# longbow especially when you consider the 66" length which was what I wanted for a butter smooth draw, it does not disapoint. I am super happy with it and can't seem to put it down, I have been shooting it for hours. I want to urge anyone out there looking for a high quality bow at a great price to look Chris up at  www.Newwoodlongbows.com  you will not regret it. I would love to post pics if I could get a volunteer to help post here on Tradgang. Thank you for an outstanding product Chris!

It was $500 completely decked out. The base price for a Legacy is $419 I beleive. I'm telling you, there is no better bargain out there!

Hey Rob,

Really glad you like the bow and am REALLY glad the palm swell is "right" for you, I was a bit nervous about that...

In the rush to get the bow shipped I realized I forgot to incude a stringer, sorry about that. It looks like you got the stringing thing figured out so instead of mailing you one give me shout when the string starts getting worn  and I'll twist up a new one for you instead.

Thanks for posting the pics Whip, gotta love those computer literate retired Bankers!!!     (I have my kid post them for me)

Take Care,    Chris

Haha they must be good, I emailed them about three weeks back about getting a Vanguard and I still haven't heard back. I'll give it another go mid-week I guess. Hey do you know if he does horn tips?

I've already got my fast shooter in a recurve so I was thinking about getting a tricked out one this time.

I will have it with me Monday night. Feel free to shoot it Steve, you let me shoot yours when you got it and it helped tied me over until mine got here.

SWEET bow.  I'm excited for you.  Not only because you got a great new bow, but I'm now moved up on the list.    :)     :)     :)  .

Many years of happy shooting to you.

Safari Scott-  Chris's email is [email protected]  He had a problem with an old email account a while back.  I know I was using the old email, myself.
