You can use vanes with an elevated rest on any bow but vanes will cause erratic flight when shot off the shelf as they don't lay down flat when passing through the shelf as with feathers.  I have always shot off the shelf but am considering trying an elevated rest after reading other threads on the subject.

The bow is designed to be shot off the shelf and does shoot great off the shelf but with feathers. I've never shot vanes from mine and have no desire to do so.

Fred Eichler carries an arrow with vanes on it in his quiver in case of wet conditions while hunting.

He shoots off the shelf and still claims to get great arrow flight by orienting the cock feather in (towards the strike plate).

It's funny you should mention that. I used to carry one vaned arrow for the same reason in the early 70s. Now I don't but have no good reason for stopping outside of I don't like to hunt in the rain lately.

I have fletched arrows with two plastic vanes and one feather fletch...just do some playing around with twistable nocks until the best clearance is obtained to avoid having the vanes make any contact...I find they shoot quite well off the shelf that way

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

Thats a great idea.
You can hop but you can't hide.
If it was not for rabbits I would never get a buck.
