My Grandpa has often told me that back in the 70s when many people were switching to compounds that people were practically giving there recurves away at garage/yard sales... If only I had been born about 30 years sooner   :banghead:

Last summer was good to me.  I found an early 70's Grizzly in VGC for $15.  And we stopped at a family members moving/yard sale were they had a Pearson Cougar, a '68 Kodiak Hunter, a '69 Kodiak Hunter and a piece of junk old wheel bow.  They were moving in a week and couldn't sell them so they gave them to me.

These stories are unreal yet great to read about.  I've never seen anything like this.  In many years, I've only found one bow at a yard sale but it was priced at $150.

About 5 years ago at a garage sale I picked up a 45# Ben Pearson Colt in good condition.  Best shooting $5 bow that I've ever seen.
