It was a great time shooting with Mudd! He is a nice welcoming man who is passionate about his God and traditional archery. Mudd is the type of man who has a positive outlook and one you can count on to encourage you. I really appreciate the time I invested with Mudd and his collection of bows. He's also a decent shot.
Here are some things I learned during our shoot today:
1. One cannot have too many bows or good friends.
2. Straight limbed or string follow bows are NOT harder to shoot than reflex deflex bows.
3. Straight limbed or string follow bows do NOT necessarily have more handshock than RD bows. I actually found the opposite to be true with the bows I shot today.
4. Hill style bows with Howard Hill's name on them are not inherently the best Hill style bows just because his name is on them.
5. In reference to the last point, a bowyer or a bow company cannot be judged after shooting/inspecting only one of his specimens.
6. I NOW REALLY WANT A HILL STYLE BOW!
Thank you again, Mudd, for a wonderful time shooting and getting to know each other.
