I went down to the 400 acre hunting property that we have down in NC yesterday to help my good friend Sam L spread fertilizer, over-seed clover and pick up the new crop of rocks and sticks that seem to "grow" in the food plots every Winter.
I have been exposing Sam gradually to trad archery through copies of the trad magazines, copies of 3 Rivers catalogs, dvd's, etc. for over a year now - trying to ease him over.
Yesterday I surprised him with a older, but great shape Ben Pearson 40@28" loaner recurve and a 1/2 dozen arrows that I had matched up to it for him to "play around" with. I have virtually nothing in the bow.
Now he has no excuse! I'm working hard to see if he will come by the NC State shoot this coming weekend just to see what all the fun is about.
Wish me luck!!
