The Shoot today
« on: April 20, 2013, 06:07:00 PM »
Today was an MHTA shoot (MOHAWK TRADITIONAL ARCHERS).  It is the local group around the capital district.  I received my new bow this week so I brought it out to show the guys.

Fastback by Striker Bows.

I made some arrows for it awhile back.

These were the only ones that shot with no adjusting so I shot them today.  With some results!!

We shot a lot and shooting woodies you are bound to break some.  But the good news is this is the first real shooting I did with this bow and I shot this!

My first ever Robin Hood arrow.  Had fun today thanks for the great shoot and the fun times.

  That Robin Hood was so cool, great shot Matt  :notworthy:  and kudos on the new bow! I was so preoccupied with watching how everyone was shooting I didn't get a chance to shoot it, but next time I'm going to try a Robin hood with it  :archer2:

As far as your arrows go, I think we found almost all the bits and pieces   :D  Aaron tooks some good pics to and I think he's going to post them in a little bit. Great day shooting with everyone, had a ton of fun!

Had a great time shooting today with everybody.  Its always fun getting to bust on everybody in person instead of using the forum. Luckily everybody has a great sense of humor and we always have a great time.

I got to try out some more of the bamboo arrows that I had just built with relative success.  When retrieving my arrows Ron continued to refer to them as tomatoe stakes (I think hes was jealous just cause his arrows only have one function).  We shot a lot of clay  birds on the ground and up against stumps/trees and I didn't break a single one of them.  Matts arrows on the otherhand.....well he found most of the important parts anyway.

A robinhood with a blunt!!

This poor turkey never had a chance...

Next time I will post some more pictures.
