Saxton Pope book

Purchased the book Hunting with the Bow and Arrow by Saxton Pope. In one of the chapters he states that the best shooter at a certain shoot was Art Young exceeding himself Compton and others. On the back of the cover is a photo of Dr. Pope shooting split finger and on page 122-123 is a photo of Art Young shooting 3 under. We are all represented by two of our great forefathers. Pretty neat don't you think?

Agree. The book is a great read. When they went hunting afar it was a major adventure. How happy they must have been.

I agree, it is a great read. I loved reading about the target shooting rounds where they are consistently hitting at 60 yards! I know a lot of guys out there can do that but i sure can't, not yet anyway
By the way you can read that book online (with all the pictures)for free. go to

search for saxton pope as the auther and read away. Don't worry its a completly legal website, they post books that are really old.
