i recently switched to a finger tab instead of a glove. i have noticed the tab seems to be a little more consitant but im having trouble finding an anchor point that is constant. also my bottom binger is taking a beating as in being very sore, is this normal until i get used to it.

Anchor should not be a problem, bottom finger can vary. I would say the tab maybe a tad small. I like atab that covers the bottom finger by at least by 1/4" overhang, if that makes sense. Shawn

I'm still very new to archery so forgive me if this is something basic that you were already aware of. If you are feeling around for a new anchor, check and make sure you aint getting your string elbow up too high. I was doing that during a very long shooting session (hundreds of arrows) when I first got my bow. There is a nerve on the outside edge of my ring finger tip (just past the last joint). I know that because I wore it out so bad it took over 2 months to get the feeling back. After I healed I went back to shooting with a lower elbow and haven't had a problem since.

Your anchor should be independent of whether you use a glove or a tab. What were you using with a glove and why doesn't that work with a tab?  You may be putting too much weight on the ring finger.  Using three under, I only put about 15% of the weight on my ring finger. I'm not sure what it should be using split, but still less than the other two, I think.

For me, a well-fitting tab means that the string will brush against my fingertips when the arrow is released.  Shawn evidently feels differently about this, which is fine.  I developed a slight callous on my fingertips after I used the tab for a while, and now I don't feel any sting.  There was never any real pain, but I definitely noticed it until the skin on my fingertips got a little tougher.
