Sandbox broadhead target pics?
« on: April 27, 2013, 10:53:00 PM »
Could some of you share photos of your sandbox broadhead targets?

Thinking about building one, but would like to see some examples.

Never question a man's choice in bows or the quality of an animal he kills.  He is the only one who has to be satisfied with either of those choices.

I don't have any pics, but there's an article about making one in the last TBM.
Take care,
Jeff

I've also wondered about this

Mine looks pretty much like the one in the video. I put mine up against an old barn that's on our place. Plus I can shoot as far as I want. I do dedicate one or two bh's to this though. The sand is abrasive and is hard on broadheads.

If you live in a more humid climate a sod bunker is great. Stack the sod like bricks so the seams are staggered. Make it about 4ft by 4ft and two stacks of sod deep. If it stays moist it will hold up well. When the front gets shot out, peel the front layer off and pile behind and add a new layer of sod to the front. This does not require a frame, as it grows it sorta becomes part of your yard.
